چکیده

Direct numerical simulations are carried out to study the effect of finite Weissenberg number up $Wi=16$ on laminar and turbulent channel flows an elastoviscoplastic (EVP) fluid, at a fixed bulk Reynolds $2800$ . The incompressible flow equations coupled with evolution equation for EVP stress tensor by modified Saramito model that extends both Bingham viscoplastic extensible nonlinear elastic-Peterlin (FENE-P) viscoelastic models. In flow, we find drag decreases numbers, until laminarises high enough elastic yield stresses. Hence, higher reduction is achieved than in same number. persists numbers 20, contrast where increases regime compared Newtonian flow. Moreover, elasticity affects laminarisation non-monotonic fashion, delaying it lower promoting numbers. A hibernation phenomenon observed leading large changes unyielded regions. Finally, plasticity affect low- high-speed streaks equally, attenuating dissipation fragmentation structures.

an investigation of the impact of self monitoring on langauge teachers motivational practice and its effect on learners motivation

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...

Computation of viscoelastic fluid flows at high Weissenberg number using continuation methods

The numerical simulation of viscoelastic fluid flow becomes more difficult as a physical parameter, the Weissenberg number, increases. Specifically, at a Weissenberg number larger than a critical value, the iterative nonlinear solver fails to converge, a phenomenon known as the High Weissenberg Number Problem. In this work we describe the application and implementation of continuation methods t...
